Vedder Counselling

After graduating with an honours degree in Psychology, Ryan moved on to complete a Master’s degree in clinical counselling. I’m Ryan Jones, a Trauma-Informed Counsellor based in British Columbia, offering in-person and online counselling for individuals, youth, and families. My approach is compassionate, grounded, and practical—focused on helping you move from merely surviving to truly thriving. Over the years, I’ve supported people through some of life’s toughest challenges, including anxiety, trauma, addiction, and crisis. I’ve had the privilege of working in schools, clinics, and Indigenous communities, helping clients find strength, safety, and hope through connection and understanding. I believe counselling should feel like a safe, inclusive conversation where you can slow down, be heard, and explore your story at your own pace. Together, we’ll work toward healing, balance, and a deeper sense of self. My Approach to Counselling My work draws from trauma-informed, person-centered, and strength-based perspectives, integrating evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness. This means our sessions focus on both immediate coping and long-term growth—addressing what’s happening right now while also exploring the deeper patterns shaping your experiences. I see counselling as a partnership: my role isn’t to “fix” you, but to walk alongside you as you heal, learn, and rediscover what makes you resilient.

Dominique Logan comes from a small, close-knit town in Northern Manitoba, where she is currently completing her practicum. Deeply rooted in her community, she values the lessons and resilience of the place that shaped her, and she carries that sense of connection into her work with others.

Dominique has a deep appreciation for Indigenous culture and is committed to continually learning from the diverse cultural traditions and practices of the people she serves. She approaches her work from a collaborative, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed perspective, believing that the most meaningful growth happens when we honor each person’s unique story and strengths.

She is especially interested in the mind-body connection, mindfulness, and somatic practices, weaving these approaches into her work to help clients not just understand their challenges, but also feel more at home in themselves.

Dominique believes that her role is not to “fix” or take over someone’s journey, but to walk alongside them — offering guidance, compassion, and encouragement every step of the way. She sees her clients as the experts in their own lives and strives to learn from them what has worked before, so together they can build on those strengths and develop new skills to help them grow into the best versions of themselves.

Grounded, open-hearted, and always learning, Dominique brings a spirit of curiosity and respect to her practice — creating a space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported as they navigate their own path forward.
